Male Tears (US) is a Los Angeles-based three-piece weirdo-pop and dark synth project led by singer-songwriter James Edward. Formed in the aftermath of the pandemic, the band has quickly become a standout name in the modern darkwave and synth-pop underground, known for blending camp aesthetics, sharp emotional flair, and dance-floor melancholy.

The group first gained attention with their 2021 self-titled debut album, now considered a cult favorite for its fusion of glittery synth-pop nostalgia and melodramatic, tongue-in-cheek songwriting.
